WeatherShack.com has been in the e-commerce business for over a decade and was ready for a fresh updated design and site structure. I designed and built a new site that features better branding, clearer navigation and a modernized look. This project is still in production.
SPORTDECALS
CORESense e-commerce integration
CORESense hired me to design and build this ecommerce site for their client, SportDecals, an online retailer of helmet decals, garment decals, printed and embroidered sport apparel, and more. The goal was to modernize and update the look of the existing site, and prepare it for migration to the CORESense e-commerce platform. This project is still in production.
LHASA OMS
CORESense e-commerce integration
Lhasa OMS had an in-house designer, but needed an HTML expert to build out the site on the CORESense platform. I worked closely with CORESense to refine the site's business rules, with variable pricing and information availability for different levels of membership. The site includes QuickView popup windows, slideshows, multiple registration and request forms, product comparison, sortable search results grid, and multiple versions of product pages that differ based on product type. This project is still in production.
LOST MY LOVEY

LostMyLovey.com is my own brainchild, an online lost-and-found for children's toys, offering parents some relief from worry over losing their child's most prized possession. Parents can post a free listing for their child's lost item, or consult other parents about where to buy a replacement. The new LostMyLovey ID Tag is a soft ID tag for toys with a unique ID code, allowing anyone who finds the toy to return it to its owner via the LostMyLovey website.
Developed on the Expression Engine platform, this site includes simple PayPal e-commerce, blog, user-generated content, rotating ad banners, RSS feed, social media sharing capability, and links to Facebook and Twitter.
I believe that because I own an e-commerce company myself, I'm uniquely positioned to understand the challenges of your e-commerce business, especially given today's emphasis on social media.
US CUTTER

I assisted US Cutter, a business-to-business retailer of sign manufacturing and vinyl cutting equipment, in migrating their business to the CORESense e-commerce platform. The project involved a complete redesign of the existing site, including a custom template for Ebay auctions and customer HTML email templates. I continue to consult for the company with such projects as designing newsletters for email marketing and creating exterior logos and signage for the company's warehouse.
BOOMERANG FISHING

The owners of Boomerang Fishing had other e-commerce sites on the Zoovy platform and wanted to modify their existing template to work with the Boomerang Fishing color scheme and logo. I designed new graphics and created a new Zoovy wrapper based on the existing template. I updated the Ebay auction template to match the new look as well.

Nobody captures rust and decay on deserted Texas landscapes like my husband, photographer Al Oliver. (His family pictures rock too.) My instructions here were "clean and minimal"; the site fits in with his aesthetic and showcases his work in an unobtrusive way so that the photography is what gets the visitor's attention.

The civic ballet company of Jackson, Tennessee needed a more professional website to reflect their growing prestige and bigger audience in the community. The site was built using the Expression Engine content management system, so the organization is able to manage the site themselves without knowledge of HTML. With this website, they were able for the first time to sell tickets online, increasing their subscriber base and improving attendance at their productions.
In addition to extensive public content including text information, photo galleries and production videos, the site offers a dancers-only content area where members can log in to view rehearsal schedules, casting lists, and important member updates.

The Ballet Arts logo was redesigned as part of the website project, to give it a cleaner and more professional look. Each performance also has its own logo that is used throughout the website, posters, billboards and other advertising.

Each performance requires a poster, billboard, t-shirt, website graphic, and bus sign with the production logo. Previous to working with OSD, Ballet Arts assigned individual committee members to each piece of print media, resulting in mismatched graphics and a production branding effort that lacked focus. Now all print media is designed by OSD, so patrons see a consistent color palette, logo and brand across all media.

Logo design
Advertising, fashion and portrait photographer Ginka of Tennessee wanted to embark on a rebranding effort of her business. Previously a portrait and family photographer, her photography had taken a new direction towards more editorial, fashion and advertising work. With her guidelines of "simple, clean and white", I created this clean, spare, artistic website to showcase her photography.

A new logo was also part of the rebranding effort. The shape of the lowercase g became a design element for the website itself.

Five businesses belonging to a team of veterinarians were brought under one website "roof". Their previous websites for each business were vastly different, designed and maintained by different developers, and looked dated. With the new and improved design, two veterinary clinics, two boarding facilities and an adoption center each have their own mini-site within the main website, with distinct but related design elements. The existing domain names for the different clinic websites are now re-routed to the dallasdogandcat.com website.
The site was built using the Expression Engine content management system, so each clinic is able to manage their portion of the site themselves without knowledge of HTML. The main administrator can make edits to the entire site, and administrators in the individual clinics have access to edit only their portion of the site. Customers can request prescription refills online, register their pet for boarding, and view pets available for adoption.

Highland Park Animal Hospital was changing the name of their facility from "Clinic" to "Hospital" and needed a fresh update to their logo to reflect a more serious hospital-like look. The running dog graphic from their existing logo was utilized in the new logo, for continuation of brand identity and customer recognition.

To go along with the fresh website redesign, I created 3 brochures for the main clinics of this veterinarian group. The brochures share the look and feel of the website, and bring a consistent color palette and brand identity to all the businesses. A promotional refrigerator magnet was mailed out to all patients with the announcement of the new site.

LHT Sports Section
This local neighborhood website for the Lake Highlands neighborhood of Dallas Texas features neighborhood news stories, local events, real estate property search, school news, high school sports highlights, live sports audio broadcasts, a calendar of events, interviews and profiles, community links, e-newsletters and sponsoring advertisers.
This site is built on the Expression Engine content management system and is updated by Lake Highlands Today staff. The site receives rave reviews from community leaders and receives over 14,000 unique visitors per month from this small local community. The strong sports section gives the LHT staff a big advantage over their local news competition.
Real estate property search is enabled through integration with IDX Broker, providing real-time MLS results seamlessly integrated into the website pages.

The new sports section of the site has been hugely popular and features live broadcasts of high school sporting events, using Meridix Live audio broadcast & game tracker. Website staff report live from sporting events with updates to the Quick Hits section from their mobile devices. Large photo galleries in each article, Facebook Like buttons, and rotating ad sponsorships make this a very successful section of the site.
RED X REAL ESTATE

Realtors John Davidson and Nina Chea in Beverly Hills use this site as a key point of contact for potential customers. Listings are enhanced with photo slideshows, MLS property search, and simple contact forms. The clean, modern aesthetic of the site mirrors the mid-century modern look of most of their listings.
THE SCHOOL VOLUNTEER
Website redesign/re-branding
The School Volunteer had a programmer, but needed a designer to create a fresh updated look that would appeal to PTA moms looking for a way to organize their school volunteers. I created a friendly new design for the site that allowed them to continue using their existing logo, but in a fresh way. This project is still in production.

The former Berwyn-Cicero Council on Aging needed a new name, brand identity and website to help better reflect the growing diversity of the clientele they now serve. I worked with them to choose a new name, developed a new logo, and created print materials for their announcement events, including postcards, posters, signage, giveaways, tablecloths, and pens.
Their new Expression-Engine based website allows them to modify the program information themselves, and keep their clientele current on important events in the community. The site features an Executive Director blog, job openings at SFC, event calendar, PayPal donations, and newsletter signup.
